Timber by Terry was established in 2022 as a bulk retailer of speciality timbers. Terry the founder has a love for people, nature, timber, carpentry & architecture, this vision has given birth to Timber by Terry.
Timber by Terry’s quality timbers is used for a wide variety of projects throughout the country. We supply some of New Zealand’s largest ranges of specialist imported, native and exotic timbers in bulk directly from the wholesalers directly to you.
Timber by Terry provides a wide variety of timber for different uses such as hardwood T&G flooring, Cedar, Pine and hardwood cladding and hardwood decking.
Timber by Terry distributes throughout New Zealand to the building and construction industry, joiners, furniture manufacturers, cabinetmakers, boatbuilders and flooring contractors via Mainfreight to tier depots closest to you or to business addresses where there is a forklift onsite to offload the consignment.

I was born and raised in South Africa and grew up in the Lowveld area close to the Kruger National Park in a small town called Hoedspruit (which directly translates to Hat Spring). Not sure why that makes sense! I grew up very close to nature and with a love of people, nature, timber, carpentry and architecture. As a result, I took woodwork and architectural drawings as subjects in High School with the intention of becoming an architect when I finish school. I ended up not following through on my dream until I was 35 years old and went on to study architectural draughting. A lot has happened in between and since then. We relocated to New Zealand with the hope of a better life. Moving here reinvigorated my love for people, nature, timber, carpentry and architecture as New Zealand shares that same love for these things as I do.
